I had so much trouble getting out of bed this morning but with the weather we've had this year any morning it isn't raining is a morning I should be on my bike.  I headed of Corbett to Portola to Woodside to Dewey to Taravel and down to the Coast.  I came up the Great Highway and stopped and got a pic up to Balboa Heights:

I headed up to Geary to 34th to the Palace of the Legion of Honor.  You know I love it up there:

Love me some Ionic columns:

I took JFK to the Panhandle to Page to Duboce to Scott to Castro to 17th to Ord and home for dinner.  Mr. Poe was home on time which is unusual these days and highly welcome.  Then I walked the dogs and we went to bed.

Sunday I led the CAT2 ride to Lucas Valley.  It was a bit cooler than the day before but it was dry.  I'll take it.  They were closing the Golden Gate Bridge bike lane for a race so we had to be over the bridge very early so our ride left at 6:30.  Which was very early.  We didn't have a huge turnout because of it.  I left in front of the group so I could get into position to point so nobody missed the turn into San Rafael.  The sun was just coming up over the east bay while I rolled though Sausalito:

I pointed for about and hour and then I swept the rest of the ride.  Our first stop was in San Rafael.  Here's Trevor enjoying his banana.  Too much:

Then we headed into China Camp which I just love riding through.  So pretty:

Then we headed over to Lucas Valley where I ran into my friend Ben:

We stopped for lunch at the Big Rocks Deli on Lucas Valley.  Here's the gang:

Ride Leader Directrix Julie Brown rode with us and had a great time.

It was a long slog home from Lucas Valley.  There was a LOT of climbing and some of the riders were pretty beat.  I didn't get home until after 4.  It was a long day.  Mr. Poe fed me dinner and then we took the dogs for a long walk and then we went to bed.
