Monday was walk2werq Monday and I had a meandering walk through Midtown Terrace, Portola, Saint Francis Wood and the Ingleside that came in at 6.7 miles.  I got lost in Midtown Terrace which was kind of funny but a lot of the midcentury stuff looks so much alike it's hard to figure out where you are some times.

The view from twin peaks:

Saint Francis Wood:

Under construction:

The Ingleside:

The sundial was a feature when the Ingleside was a racetrack.  It doesn't really seem to fit in the neighborhood and that's why:

This is the inside of Saint Emydius, the patron saint of earthquakes.  I don't like the 1910-sh interior.  It seems very much to me more like the interior of a bank than a church and is only redeemed by the pretty mural in the apse which is much later than the construction:

I headed home for lunch and then went to the gym after work.  It isn't easy getting back to the gym after being off for almost two weeks and my strength training class wasn't pretty but I certainly felt like I'd accomplished something.  I headed home after and had dinner and went to bed.  Totally beat.
