Friday we went down to the Devil's Slide nature walk and it was a gorgeous day.  It was crazy foggy at the house but unexplainably clear at the coast.  It was beautiful and fabulous and we had a great time walking around:

We headed down into Half Moon Bay and had lunch at Sam's Chowder House which was pretty good.  Then home.  We managed to not get stuck in traffic at all.  Perfect.

Thanksgiving was lots of fun this year.  We had a huge group and everything turned out really well.  We got a smoked turkey which was a lot easier to deal with than roasting one and of course a honey baked ham.  I made a gingerbread bundt cake and Miss Smith took a bunch of pics of the proceedings:

Mimi still hates Daniel:

We were all asleep by 8:30.  Thankful for that.

Thanksgiving week is super busy at our house.  We've been cooking nonstop and my mamma's in town.  Mimi's exhausticated from all the excitement:

Monday was walk2werq Monday and I had a fun walk over Telegraph Hill that came in at 6.2 miles.  I"m looking forward to the days getting longer.  It's hard to get pics.

I went to Spin and then a weight class and was totally wrecked after although I certainly felt like I'd accomplished something.  I headed home and went to bed.

Sunday I led a Different Spokes ride out to Olema and then south to Stinson.  I went with Reilly and Elliott and we had lots of fun on a glorious fall day:

I felt great on the climb up to pan toll out of stinson which makes me think that all the time i've been spending in the gym is paying off.  I went to bed early.  Obviously.

Saturday I went to a spin class in the morning and then met Mr. Poe for lunch.  After, I took the dogs out in the stroller and saw this guy walking his kid.  I want to know a little more about his decision making processes regarding getting dressed.  I'm giving him a pass because it's likely he hasn't slept in several months and that its affecting his sartorial choices but somebody who cares should have stopped him from doing this to himself:

I headed home and baked a cake for and then went to Shelby's Christmas party which was really fun. His place is FABULOUS.  And his pets well behaved.  I'm a little jealous.  We went for tapas for dinner and then headed home for bed.  Fun day.

Friday I walked down Market into work.  A little easy for a walk2werq but all the development on Market has made that walk a lot less unpleasant than it used to be.  There's a tech bus that stops in front of the club Eros and it always takes me a minute to realize that the line is for the former and not the latter:

Looking up Octavia at the Gay and Lesbian Center:

Some poor window washer fell 11 floors on to this car on Friday and somehow did not die:

The street was cordoned off for that so Montgomery was empty:

At lunch time I made my way to Civic Center to got to the Asian Art Museum.  This is the view looking up Fulton to Civic Center:

The cool thing to see at the Asian Art Museum is the Tetsuya Ishida exhibit.  It's got some surrealism that reminds me a bit of Magritte and is super fantastic:

After work I headed to Union Square.  Christmas is up!:

Stockton is covered in astroturf for some reason.  Developing:

I headed home and met Mr. Poe for dinner.  Then we went to bed early.  It had been a very long day.
